The Okara police arrested today on 10th December Khushi Mohammed, the president of Anjaman Mozareen Punjab (Tenants Association Punjab) from Lahore. The leaders of Labour Party Pakistan, Peoples Rights Movement, and Mazdoor Kissan party and different social organizations spoke at the convention to lend their support for the movement.

After the convention, a rally was brought out from Mahfil theater hall to the General Post office on main Mall road of Lahore. The demonstrators were chanting slogans like, down with American imperialism, ownership or death, release the arrested peasant leaders, land to the tillers and we shall overcome someday. They were blocked near GPO by the police. A delegation of prominent civil society organization went to deliver a petition to the chief justice of Lahore High Court.
