Advocates Solidarity Conference

An Advocate Solidarity Conference is been organized on 23rd May at Lahore Press Club from 3pm. Labour Party Pakistan in collaboration with Labour Education Foundation has invited most of the trade unions, professional organizations, radical social organizations and movements and peasant organizations to participate in the conference.

The purpose of the conference is to chart out a strategy to help develop, participate and strengthen the movement for an independent judiciary and an end of military dictatorship. It will look into ways of broader participations of people in this movement.

Those who have confirmed so far are Pakistan Workers Confederation, Joint Action Committee For Peoples Rights, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) All Pakistan Teachers Federation, Mutihida Asataza Mahaz (United teachers Front) All Pakistan Professors and Lecturers Association, Aalmi Punjabi Congress (World Punjabi Congress) Pakistan Kissan Rabita Committee (Pakistan Peasants Coordination Committee) Lahore High Court Bar Association District Bar Association Lahore, Anjaman Taraqi Pasand Musanfeen (Progressive Writers Forum) All Pakistan Banks and Insurance companies Workers Alliance, All Pakistan Trade Unions Federation, National Trade Union Federation, Pakistan Social Forum, and several more civil society organizations.
